Description

Join the NYU Reynolds Program in Social Entrepreneurship in celebrating the release of NYU Reynolds alumna Ananta Ripa Ajmera's book, The Ayurveda Way. In The Ayurveda Way, Ajmera offers an inspiring introductory guide to Ayurveda – the holistic health companion to yoga – and the oldest healing system in the world.

The Ayurveda Way makes this ancient approach understandable and applicable to a diverse, modern audience. Drawing on her experience as an Ayurveda teacher, Ajmera offers accessible advice on handling some of today’s most pressing health priorities. Recipes incorporate spices such as turmeric, cumin, and ginger into daily meals for optimal digestion; easy breathing techniques and simple meditations help calm the mind; and advice like creating a personal sanctuary place in the home help nourish the spirit.

Showcasing 108 different ways of accessing Ayurveda, The Ayurveda Way makes time-tested wisdom available to contemporary holistic health enthusiasts — even beginners — and anyone seeking inspiration and coaching on small changes they can make in their daily routine to uncover their natural, radiant health.

Remarks by Susan Davis, Founder and Former President & CEO of BRAC USA, Gabriel Brodbar, Executive Director of NYU Reynolds, and Ananta Ripa Ajmera.
